Description

The Icon Alliance Dark is a killer deal at $150. Featuring an aggressive profile, Icon’s matte black Rubatone finish, and a dark smoke shield, it’s as sleek and stealthy as they come. Both the dark smoke and a clear shield are included in the price.

Though the Alliance Dark is definitely the black sheep of the family, it shares the same great venting airflow as its more colorful Alliance brother and sisters. Icon’s nice HydraDry wicking liner and cheek pads provide a snug but comfortable fit, wash easily, and hold up to wear well.

For $150, the Alliance Dark is a no-brainer, and that’s why it’s one of our top selling helmets.

Note on fit: The Alliance has Icon’s long-oval internal shape, which Icon has been leaning towards for a few years now and has found fits many riders in the North American market well. In our experience, we have found it is a fairly neutral oval shape, and is not particularly long or unusually narrow. The Icon Variant and Airmada helmets have the same long-oval shape as the Alliance Dark, but beware that older Icon helmet models, like previous editions of the Alliance and Airframe helmets, have a more rounded fit. As with any helmet, it’s important to try on the Alliance for fit before you take it home to ensure you’re getting the best safety and comfort for your money.
