Dunlop D402 tires are the only tires Harley-Davidson has approved for their touring bikes, and they deliver the best balance between performance and durability specifically for H-D bikes.

Harley-Davidson touring bikes should only run tires specifically designed for their weight and characteristics. More importantly, it takes a specially designed tire to deliver long-lasting, smooth performance – even for fully-loaded, two-up Harleys on long-mileage journeys. The D402s are just that, specially and specifically designed for Harleys, and that’s why most H-D touring models come stock from the factory with a set.

The D402s have a three-ply construction with two fiberglass belts that provide the strength and stability to hold up the weight of a touring bike. The tread pattern was computer configured to wear evenly and eliminate cupping issues that can develop over time and reduce stability and contact area during cornering. The zig-zag pattern of the center treads on the D402s reduces tracking on road lines for a smoother ride, and the tread provides excellent traction on wet roads.

The D402s are made in the USA, specifically for Harley-Davidson bikes, and they deliver excellent handling and high-mileage wear for touring bikes.
