A Transitions photochromic shield adjusts automatically within seconds to changing light conditions while you’re riding. With a photochromic shield, you won’t have to squint in the sun or struggle to see the road in heavy shade. No more fiddling with sunglasses and carrying an extra shield for nighttime riding. If purchased on its own, the Transitions shield would cost you $139.99 (a compatible accessory for the Bell Vortex and the standard Qualifier).

Proven Technology

Transitions® leads the way in photochromic lens technology, and Transitions motorcycle shields have been around for years now. Though other helmet manufacturers have been scrambling to join the party, Bell got in on the ground floor and made the technology available to their complete line of helmets some years ago. We know by now that Transitions shields are durable, effective, and lauded by their users.

Bluetooth Port

The Qualifier DLX also has a cut-out port that accommodates a Sena SMH10 or Cardo Scala Rider Q1 or Q3 Bluetooth system. This enables more flush mounting of the unit on the side of your helmet. Other universal Bluetooth units can still be mounted in the standard fashion, and users not running a Bluetooth can simply opt out by keeping the cover on the port.
