Alpinestars Bio Armor Back Inserts

Upgrade your jacket’s foam back pad with a CE-certified back armor insert. Alpinestars Bio Armor Back Inserts are inexpensive and comfortable, but make a world of difference to the protective value of your jacket.

Alpinestars Bio Armor Back Inserts are made with the same exclusive, soft, impact-absorbing material as Alpinestars’ Bio Armor shoulder and elbow pads. Bio Armor Inserts are perforated for added breathability, and articulated for comfort in a riding position. The back protectors are designed to perfectly fit the armor pockets in most Alpinestars jackets, though they will work well in the pockets of a variety of other jacket brands as well.

A conforming and flexible Alpinestars Bio Armor Back Insert will be only slightly more noticeable than the stock foam pad included in your jacket. But stop by the store, try one out, and decide for yourself. We can also give you the lowdown on all the different materials and features offered by a variety of back protectors.

Back armor basics:

Most motorcycle jackets include removable CE-certified armor in the elbows and shoulders, so you know the armor has been tested to meet a certain standard for withstanding impact. Unfortunately, the vast majority of motorcycle jackets sold do not come with a CE-certified back protector. So when you’re buying a new jacket, it’s a great idea to fit it with a new back armor upgrade as well. Or, if you’d like to upgrade your current jacket of any brand, bring it into the store to test out the feel and fit of a variety of CE-certified back protectors, including an Alpinestars Bio Armor Back Insert.
