This year’s visit to the Bay Area by the Progressive International Motorcycle Show came to a close last night. IMS will be hitting the road this morning, heading out, and moving on to the show’s next stop in Dallas.

This year’s San Mateo IMS show went off perfectly and seemed to draw a larger crowd this year, likely thanks to clear skies and an earlier October show date. The show featured bikes by all the major bike manufacturers, super-cool custom builds in the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Competition, a wonderful vintage display by the Classic Japanese Motorcycle Club, tons of vendors in the Motorcycle Marketplace, and around-the-clock demos and tutorials on the main stage. There was no shortage of demo rides on offer this year, either, and visitors could take a spin on a Victory, Harley-Davidson, or Yamaha. Supermoto USA’s track in the parking lot was one of the most exciting new features, where live supermoto racing action kept the crowds enthralled.

Here at Road Rider, we will be unpacking our own show trailers today after a busy three-days of Bell, Shoei, Tour Master, and Cortech helmet and gear showcasing and sales. Thanks to everyone who made it out to IMS and stopped by our booth! We were thrilled to be able to offer such a great selection of helmets from Bell and Shoei, as well as some great gear at great prices. If you went home with something new, we hope you love it. If you talked with one of us, we hope you had a good experience and walked away with some helpful information. More than anything, thanks for coming out and supporting your local vendors, dealers, and the local riding scene. See you at IMS next year!
