Lanelle’s Epic Cooling Vest Test Ride
Lanelle’s On the Road, Yet Again
There’s no more perfect way to follow up to Friday’s post about cooling vests than with a real ride report from the field. As it happens, while we were gearing up for the ridiculously hot temperatures we’ve been experiencing all around the Bay Area, our apparel specialist Lanelle was riding across the Southwest in her very own TechNiche HyperKewl Cooling Vest.
Many of you may know Lanelle from the store, and know her to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. But she also has some serious credibility when it comes to putting miles on a motorcycle. Before joining us nearly a year ago, she’d already traveled much of the country on one of her numerous Harley-Davidsons, including a trip to Alaska. Well, she’s currently on a cross-country trip, and recently made it across the last few remaining states she HADN’T already been too! Now she has been to all 49 mainland states on her motorcycle- what an accomplishment! Expect more stories and pictures from her trip to be posted here upon her return.
The Cooling Vest
As soon as our cooling vests arrived in the spring, Lanelle snapped one up for her road trip, and it sounds like she’s very, very glad she did. In a nutshell, she thinks HyperKewl vests are awesome and amazing. But here’s the whole story:
It’s Arizona, and the temperature is 106 degrees. Lanelle is wearing her TechNiche HyperKewl cooling vest under her leather vest, which allows enough air to flow through to keep the vest nice and cool. When she soaked it in water earlier in the day it hardly dripped, but was heavily loaded with water. Even in 100+ degree temperatures, the vest took hours to dry out, and kept her cool and comfortable.
