Title Metric Parts Specialist (part-time)
Job Information

You ride, you wrench. The beauty of motorcycling is the do-it-yourself attitude it inspires — even if it’s just a simple tune-up involving some oil, spark plugs, or a battery. Our Metric Parts Department is designed to help riders find the parts and accessories they need to keep their bike going safely, comfortably, and at the highest performance level possible.

If you enjoy talking about motorcycles and have an inclination for helping people work on their bike effectively, then a job as a Metric Parts Specialist might be a great fit for you! There are a bazillion motorcycle parts and accessories  available and our customers have a broad span of expertise when it comes to their bikes; so, if you have technical experience with motorcycles and a warm personality, you might be the person for our customers.

We require that our Parts Specialists have a few important qualities:

  • Experience riding, especially in the Bay Area
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Technical motorcycle mechanics training or 2 years experience in a mechanics shop
  • The ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds
  • A reliable source of transportation — hopefully a motorcycle!

As a Parts Specialist, you can expect a few things from us:

  • One of the finest employee discounts in the motorcycle retail world
  • A flexible schedule
  • A fun, motorcycle- and customer-centric environment
  • Competitive pay

Still with us? If you feel you can “wow” our customers by offering them the best customer service and a high level of mechanical knowledge, we hope you send us a cover letter and your resume. To apply for the part-time position of Parts Specialist, submit your resume as a PDF attachment and include your short cover letter in the cover letter field. Tell us

  1. Why you want to work at Road Rider
  2. Where you love to ride and why, and
  3. What unique qualities you can bring to Road Rider.

Applicants with the best cover letters get the most attention by our hiring managers, so have fun with it! Be yourself, but try to catch our eye. We get a lot of these, so the cover letters that show passion for people, motorcycling, and local riding get printed and passed around. Generic ones — not so much.

Once you have submitted your resume and cover letter, please wait to hear from us.
