The Sheetiron 300 Dualsport ride is going into its 21st year, and it’s no wonder it keeps returning every year. It’s one of the most popular organized rides in Northern California and it fills up FAST. Sign up quickly to join the lucky 500 participants as they start in Stonyford and ride to Fort Bragg and back. The ride is non-competitive and a hell of a good time riding to the sea through one of California’s gorgeous coastal mountain ranges.
2013 marks the 45th year for the Hanford Vintage Classic Motorcycle Swap Meet and Show. If you love classics, or even if you just like them a bit, head out to Hanford for this very fun and classic-filled festival. Food, an option to camp-out, vendors, parts and bikes for sale, and a huge antique bike show are just some of the reasons why the Hanford is growing every year.
The 17th annual Casino Classic Poker Run presented by Sacramento H.O.G. Sign in at Harley-Davidson of Sacramento. Registration is from 8am-10am and the cost is $20 per ride and $15 per passenger. $200 High Hand winners and $100 Low Hand winners. There will be ride pins for the first 200, bulls eye bug splat contest, raffle prizes, BBQ, live music, and a Chapter Challenge Award. All motorcycles welcome!
Chocolate Thunder Motorcycle Run presented by the Paradise Chocolate Festival. $20 per rider or $30 per couple. Sign in location is the Boys and Girls Club parking lot at 9:00 am. Get ready to rev your engines and support youth organizations on the Paradise Ridge. All motorcycle enthusiasts are encouraged to join the fun! Participants will start their road rally in Paradise, then travel to check-spots throughout Butte County including Scotty’s Boat Landing in Chico, beautiful Feather River Canyon to Scooter’s Cafe, to Lake Oroville’s Lime Saddle Marina for a noon check-in. From there, riders will forma parade up the Skyway in Paradise, ending at Calvary Chapel in Magalia. Run includes BBQ, event pin, cash prizes, raffle, music, refreshments at each stop, and lots of chocolate! Proceeds benefit youth organizations on the Paradise Ridge. Downtown Campbell hosts two sunny days of arts, crafts, entertainment, shopping, food, and community, featuring 200 arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, Cajun and New Orleans-style food, more food, beer, wine and soda, and a kiddie korner for the young’ins. Doc Wong’s Dual Sport and Adventure Riding workshop. Friday night is the required classroom portion of the workshop, and Sunday the 26th is the riding portion. All Doc Wong clinics are educational, fun, and free. They are put on by a pillar of the riding community, Doctor Harry Wong. Night classes take place in Doc Wong’s Redwood City office, and Sunday rides start at the office with a talk and are followed by a four hour ride through the hills. The Doc requests that you email him or call his office to let them know you will be attending a session, and we recommend checking his website as well for further information on his different classes.
